Welcome back to Cluster Towne! In Cluster Towne I you were introduced to the four main types of cluster groups including bouquet, cascade, sunburst and edge. And we identified the specific job for each group. We used simple florals to practice.
We also discussed tips for connecting the cluster groups together using various design techniques including foundation/grounding, cluster connections/unity, fillers, oomph & polish and shadowing.
In Cluster Towne II, this strategy, I will live build a layout that I've never built before using a kit I've never used before!
I want you to watch how I struggle in real-time with applying the jobs to various cluster groups and how I use my own Cluster Towne I strategies to overcome the layout's design challenges. Typically, I pre-build my layouts so I can demonstrate to you how a specific technique works. But for live-builds, I want you to see how to overcome design difficulties using the techniques I 'preach'.
You'll also learn how to build your page more intuitively. You'll discover how most page designers do not build a single cluster group in its entirety. Rather, the embellishment groupings are worked into the page as a whole. I might work with one section for 5 minutes, then work on a different section, then return to the initial section with new solutions for different clusters.
